Football wide receiver Preston Jeffrey earned the Landmark Conference's inaugural Offensive Player of the Week award after his performance against McDaniel in a 34-7 season-opening win on Sept. 1.

He caught five passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns, including a 93-yard score. Jeffrey now has six 100-plus-yard receiving games in his career and has reached the 20-career touchdown mark.

It’s Jeffrey’s first Landmark Conference athlete of the week honor. He was also cited by the DC Touchdown Club, earning a spot on the Washington Metro College Football Player of the Week Honor Roll.

After a historic opening weekend that saw the Catholic University field hockey team knock off two nationally-ranked programs, two Cardinals have earned Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors.
